We are very excited that the season’s first produce from our Foodbank allotment has just arrived. Nothing beats the fresh fruit and veg grown by our wonderful green fingered volunteers. Last year our Foodbank clients enjoyed a whole range of produce from tomatoes, kale, rhubarb, carrots and potatoes just to name a few. It’s so lovely to be able to offer these fresh items to our clients and we know they were really appreciated by them too.
We are looking for a couple volunteers to help out at the Allotment…. we know it is hard work and is very dependent on weather, what jobs need doing and so requires a good level of flexibility, so it isn’t for everyone. But it is very rewarding.
